Thumbelina's New Adventure

<An illustration of thumbelina in Andersen's second fairy tale book published in 1835>
Whenever I saw Thumbelina, the part what I felt the most catharsis was the scene what Thumbelina exits the pond with the help of other animals. The moment when she ran away from the toad, who was aiming for her as a bride.

Of course, after that, she continues to receive proposals from someone. At the end, She meets the prince of the same height and faces the ending of getting married. I've been questioning about it all the time.

"I want to see more of her adventure.
Why does it feel like the story ends after only talking about marriage?"
"You don't have to be someone's bride."
(Left) creepy toad
(Right) her helper moth (setting that she is a stronger friend than butterflies)

Instead of going to the land of flowers on the back of a swallow and meeting the prince, how about going on the road with a friend who helped in a crisis? What would it have been like to learn new things, make more friends, and learn how to live?

If so, this scene will be the beginning of a new adventure.

This is the story of a fairy tale I want to tell young girls.
